This large reserve has many enjoyable play choices for toddlers and juniors. The cubby-house slide with connecting bridge is a real showpiece. Basketball and netball courts, a goaled soccer pitch and a large, open kick/play expanse provide good sporting options and you can start the adrenaline pumping at either the dual-bowl street skate park or the sharply-hilled BMX riding space.
Kings Reserve can be found between the Brickworks Market and Thebarton Oval, adjacent to the Henley and Grange Swimming Centre. The all-but-FREE Henley and Grange Swimming Centre is provided by the council and is great fun.
Family gatherings will find catering easy with multiple sheltered barbeques and picnic settings. The River Torrens walking trails are close by and worth a look. Easy to use paths that aid un-assisted access for those people using wheelchairs, take you through garden exhibits and around the reserve. Dogs on leads are welcome.
